Farm Visits

Since 2010 we have opened the farm to visitors – from schools, clubs and the public for different events and we are always delighted to be approached by groups who would like to visit.

We have a wonderful, wooded area with log seating and a fit pit that can be enjoyed by all ages for lunch and a rustic barn that can be used for teaching and workshops.

Educational and School Visits

Each year we are delighted to welcome school groups to the farm for educational visits under DEFRA’s ED1 scheme. This scheme allows us to fund schools on farm for a 2 ½ hour session learning all about the farm, the cows, pigs, crops and how a farm works. The children and their teachers visit different areas on farm and gather knowledge whilst enjoying being out of the classroom in the fresh air.

With the funding from DEFRA, schools only have to pay to transport the children to us. The children and teachers enjoy it SO much they book to come year on year.

Team Building and Corporate Events

Different groups have visited over the years from Cubs and Scouts, Schools and businesses, including some of the 999 Emergency Call Handlers who came to do some interesting team building exercises.

Recently we hosted City College Hospitality Chef Tutors for a morning of foraging and tasting different wild ferments with Hannah Walker. Follow her at on Instagram as Rosehipsandrocket or finder her at www.gatherandnourish.co.uk
