Fresh Bakes at Porsham
Porsham Cakes – Pre order and have a scrumptious homemade farm Devonshire Cream Tea waiting for you – freshly baked scones, local jam and mounds of thick clotted cream or some gooey chocolate brownies. All you will have to do is unpack and put the kettle on.
We are also happy to arrange a loaf of freshly baked bread for breakfast, a tin of cake, brownies or even biscuits for you to munch, during your stay. If one of your party is celebrating a birthday or anniversary we can supply a celebration cake to help make your time with us extra special or even as a surprise for one of your party.
If you fancy eating out we have some lovely Devon Pubs locally, The Who’d Have Thought It in Milton Coombe is one of the closest and The Drake Manor in Buckland Monachorum is run by Mandy who offers a great welcome.
Eating out
Venture into Tavistock for some organic Pizza at Robertsons, bimble around Plymouth’s The Barbican and Royal William Yard to shop and walk the cobbled areas, and later dine in some of Plymouth’s award winning restaurant’s to eat food created by the best chefs – Ryan Marsland at 36 The Fig Tree, Ben Palmer at The Greedy Goose, and The Tanner brothers Barbican Kitchen.
Plymouth also has Indian, Thai, Greek and Chinese restaurants a plenty, fresh Fish and Chips, of course and the legend that is Cap’n Jaspers – go and have a Jasperizer – we dare you!
