The small orchard at the front of the farmhouse was reintroduced on the site of the old pre-1940’s orchard. Will’s paternal grandfather was a great advocate of locally grown fruit and vegetables and had set up one of the first PYO farms in Devon. Luke’s Fruit Farm – he grew strawberries that went up on the train from GWR Tamerton Foliot Station to Covent Garden and Wimbledon.

We recruited some expert knowledge from Michael who ran the Endsleigh Garden Nursery, Lamerton at the time of replanting and requested Tamar Valley species. The trees planted included a mix of Bullen, Pear, Plum and Apple with the hope of achieving a cropping season spread throughout the Autumn.
